Timetables, connections and honest walking times — a practical guide to public-transport trips.
The timetable that actually applies
Journey planners mix year-round services with seasonal ones. Travelling off-season, check the footnotes under the table — that is where it says a bus runs only in the school holidays.
Connections
Fifteen minutes is enough in a city, but not at a bus stop on a national road. With one service every three hours, leave yourself a full hour of slack.
Plan the return first
The last bus out of the valley dictates the whole day. Only from that departure do you count backwards: descent time, then time on the summit.
